Clinical Training for Medical Practices

Medright provides practical BLS, phlebotomy and IV skills training for medical practices, clinics and healthcare organizations.

Staff members may attend in-person training at Medright. For private group training, Medright can also bring instructors and equipment directly to your organization’s location.

About Us

AHA BLS CPR

Medical emergencies can happen in any healthcare office. Staff members must be prepared to recognize cardiac arrest, activate emergency response, begin high-quality CPR and use an AED without hesitation.

Medright provides American Heart Association BLS and CPR instruction for healthcare professionals and office staff.

Training may include:

  • Adult, child and infant CPR
  • AED operation
  • Choking relief
  • Team response
  • Skills assessment
  • Initial and renewal certification

Phlebotomy

A laboratory result is only as reliable as the specimen submitted for testing.

Improper patient identification, incorrect tube selection, poor collection technique, hemolysis, contamination, insufficient volume and improper handling can produce inaccurate results, rejected specimens and unnecessary redraws.

Those errors can delay diagnosis, affect treatment decisions and cause patients to undergo additional testing.

Medright’s hands-on phlebotomy training may include:

  • Patient identification and preparation
  • Vein selection
  • Equipment and tube selection
  • Order of draw
  • Venipuncture technique
  • Difficult draws
  • Preventing hemolysis and contamination
  • Specimen labeling, handling and transport
  • Managing complications
  • Practice and competency assessment

IV Skills

Successful IV therapy requires more than locating a visible vein. Staff members need an understanding of vein selection, catheter choice, infection prevention, insertion technique, securement and complication recognition.

Medright provides practical IV instruction for appropriately licensed or authorized healthcare professionals who need initial instruction, additional practice or a structured skills refresher.

Training may include:

  • Vein assessment and selection
  • Catheter and equipment selection
  • Infection-prevention practices
  • Peripheral IV insertion
  • Saline-lock setup
  • Catheter securement
  • Troubleshooting unsuccessful attempts
  • Recognizing infiltration, phlebitis and other complications
  • Hands-on practice and competency assessment

Clinical Skills Should Not Be Left to Chance

Healthcare employees are often expected to perform blood collection, start IVs or respond to emergencies after limited classroom instruction or informal on-the-job training.

Training and competency expectations can vary considerably between educational programs, employers and professional roles. A certificate alone does not prove that someone can perform a clinical skill safely, consistently and correctly.

Medright provides structured, hands-on instruction that allows staff members to practice techniques, correct problems and demonstrate competency in a supportive learning environment.

IV Skills

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy

Intravenous infusions (IVs) are a critical medical procedure used to deliver fluids, medications, and nutrients. IV placement requires a skilled hand and a knowledgeable provider to ensure safe and effective care.

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy

Phlebotomy is a routine yet invasive medical procedure that must be performed by formally trained providers. Without proper training, patients risk injury, and critical errors in specimen collection and processing can lead to costly and serious consequences.
